Captain Ken Qualls – VP Flight Operations

 

Ken has over 45 years of safety and organizational management experience in the corporate and airline aviation sectors. Ken is a highly experienced captain and instructor in most Boeing aircraft and has over 31,000 total hours of flight time, with almost 27,000 of those hours as Pilot in Command and 5,500 international flight hours in the Boeing 747-400. He has extensive global flight operational experience and senior management experience with FAA FAR Part 91, 135, 121, 129, and Foreign Air Carriers.

Ken has his B.A / ME degree in Music Education (instrumental and vocal) from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI. He also has his Masters in International Business from the University of Wales, in Cardiff, UK.

Ken had opportunities to use his formal education as the Principal Chair Orchestral Clarinetist with the Air Force Band and second chair clarinetist with the San Antonio (Texas) Symphony.

As if that weren’t enough, Ken was also an actor on the 20th Century Fox Series M*A*S*H, Dynasty, Trapper John MD, and is a member of SAG (Screen Actors Guild), SEG (Screen Entertainers Guild) and SWG (Screen Writers Guild). Ken was also a screen writer for “The John Housman Group” feature “Almost a Hero” TV movie.
