Director of Safety 

Bob brings 45 years of aviation experience that includes 20 years with the US Air Force. With over 13,000 flight hours, a BS degree in Management from Oklahoma University, and numerous Safety, Quality and Auditing certifications. Bob brings a wealth and diverse level of skill sets to this role which is responsible for all aspects of safety and compliance throughout Avatar Airlines.

Previously, Bob has held executive positions at multiple airlines and their subsidiaries where he was the responsible manager of corporate safety and security. This included regulatory responsibility for ground operations of 15 airlines at 180 airports, regional flight operations for Delta and American Airlines along with passenger and cargo operations worldwide.

He has led safety departments that assured the highest standards of operational safety performance against FAA, TSA, IATA and DOD standards and requirements. Bob’s proactive approach to safety through a robust safety management system has led to him being recognized as an industry safety leader and involvement with air safety initiatives.
